A Las Vegas entertainer called Maren Wade sued Taylor Swift and affiliated business parties for copyright infringement on March 30, according to the lawsuit. Wade claims in the files that the title of Swift's most recent album, The Life of a Showgirl, is too similar to Confessions of a Showgirl, the title of a column Wade claims she began in 2014 and has now expanded into a podcast and live event.

Blake Lively is addressing the latest legal development in her ongoing case with Justin Baldoni after a federal judge dismissed the majority of her claims.

On April 2, Judge Lewis J. Liman of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled on Baldoni's request to have the case partially dismissed ahead of its scheduled trial on May 18. In his decision, the judge threw out 10 of the 13 claims filed by Lively, significantly narrowing the scope of the dispute.

Despite the reduction in claims, the case will still proceed to trial on several remaining allegations. These include a breach of contract claim and a retaliation claim under the Fair Employment and Housing Act against Baldoni's company, Wayfarer Studios.

Following the ruling, a member of Lively's legal team, Sigrid McCawley, issued a statement emphasizing that the core of the case remains unchanged. She explained that the lawsuit has always centered on what she described as severe retaliation and efforts to damage Lively's reputation after she raised concerns about safety on set. She added that the claims moving forward represent the central issues that will be examined in court.

Philippine boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao, has said his planned September fight with Floyd Mayweather will not be an exhibition, days after his fellow hall of famer said their bout would be strictly entertainment.

Last month, Netflix announced a long-awaited rematch of the highest-grossing clash in boxing history, with Pacquiao and Mayweather set to face each other at the Sphere in Las Vegas on September 19.

But earlier this week, Mayweather stunned the boxing world by suggesting the rivals, whose 2015 bout drove 4.6 million pay-per-view buys, would only be entering the squared circle for show this time around.

"It's an exhibition, so we're both winners," Mayweather said in an interview with Vegas Sports Today. "We just want to go out there and entertain the people and put on a good show."
