Fans of Netflix’s Extraction series are in for a treat as Joe Russo, writer and producer of the franchise, recently shared a major update on the highly anticipated Extraction 3. In an interview with Collider and Total Film, Russo confirmed that the third film is well into development and that filming is slated for 2025. This comes after months of speculation following the release of Extraction 2 in 2023, which ended with a tantalizing hint at Tyler Rake’s next mission. Sam Hargrave, who directed the first two installments, will return to direct, and Chris Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as the fearless mercenary.

Following the surprising streaming success of The Family Plan on Apple TV+, a sequel is officially in the works, with Mark Wahlberg set to reprise his role as former assassin Dan Morgan. The original 2023 action-comedy, directed by Simon Cellan Jones, followed Dan, who had transitioned to suburban life as a family man only to have his dangerous past resurface. Alcon Entertainment, the production company behind Blade Runner 2049, has filed a lawsuit against Tesla, Elon Musk, and Warner Bros. Discovery, alleging copyright infringement. The lawsuit claims that during Tesla’s October 2024 Robotaxi launch, AI-generated images resembling iconic scenes from the film were used without permission. These images included a Ryan Gosling look-alike and futuristic vehicles, closely mirroring the original film’s aesthetic. Despite being denied permission to use content from the film, Musk and Tesla proceeded to display the visuals during the globally livestreamed event.
