From the early pioneers like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Jimmy Cliff to contemporary artists such as Damian Marley and Chronixx, reggae has been a powerful tool for expressing the struggles and aspirations of marginalized communities. Themes of resistance against oppression, calls for equality, and reverence for nature resonate deeply within the genre, making reggae not just music but a voice for the voiceless.
